It is ok getting a new job, but adjusting to the new job is never easy. You will need to be proactive while adjusting/onboarding remotely because it can get difficult.
However, to help you adjust better, you can do the following:
- Try to schedule a lot of brief check-ins with colleagues at your new workplace to mimic the short, informal interactions you would have in person.
- Since it is difficult to understand your new culture from home, pay close attention to their words, also try to frequently share what you are working on.
- Try to identify people who can help you grow in your role and who could even serve as mentors in your new workplace.
- Always ask for help when you need it. Don’t keep it all to yourself even when you know it’s beyond you.
